History of Rigid Building
Founded in Houston, Texas – Rigid Global Buildings has become one of the largest privately held manufacturers of Pre-Engineered metal buildings and Structural Steel buildings in the industry today. Backed by the strength of our engineering team – we pride ourselves on being able to design and fabricate structures of all shapes and sizes for all industries. Our in house engineering team has over 100 degreed engineers providing the best integrated design, BIM, engineering and detailing.
In the beginning, our niche was the complex buildings that the other metal building manufacturers did not want to design/fabricate. Churches, stadiums, larger more detailed metal buildings became our specialty. That quickly grew into the agricultural market and commercial sector, designing and fabricating buildings for riding arenas, strip center and retail stand-alone buildings. As Rigid’s customer base began to grow so did our product offering. We now offer metal buildings for virtually any and all industries including commercial, government, schools, self-storage, religious, aviation, grow houses. We do it all.
Over the last 8 years, Rigid’s business model has taken a turn to focus not only on the local and national level but also into the global arena. In the spring of 2016, Rigid opened a 125,000 square foot structuralfabrication facility. With these new capabilities Rigid can now fabricate virtually any structure from high rise to low rise. This new AISC/IAS certified fabrication facility includes several heavy duty cranes, a plasma cutter, 2 Ficep drill lines, and a robotic flange processing center and more – helping Rigid tackle even larger projects such as convention centers, hotels, casinos, sports arenas, office buildings and stadiums.
As the times change and building processes change, Rigid will continue to stay on top of technology and offer the best quality products for the building industry.

Aaron Westover – Vice President Energy Division
Aaron Westover is no stranger to the Metal Building Industry. This Iowa born native entered the metal building industry in 2000 as a Regional Director of Sales for Wedgcor. During his six years with Wedgcor Aaron managed a seven member sales team repeatedly meeting and exceeding his budget year after year. In addition to managing his sales team Aaron was also a top producer for sales for his territory.
In 2006 Mr. Westover joined the Rigid team as Sales Manager for the Central Region. He again showed his strength in sales and management as not only the top producer for individual sales but also top producing territory. The energy sector (blast buildings in particular) started growing from a construction standpoint and Aaron realized there was a unique fit for blast certified pre-engineered buildings. It was that realization that moved Mr. Westover to become instrumental in the creation of Rigid’s Energy Division. As VP of the Energy Division, Aaron educated construction companies, oil companies, architects, etc. on the values and benefits of a certified blast resistant pre-engineered metal building.
Mr. Westover studied banking and finance at Buena Visty University in Storm Lake Iowa. Outside the office, Aaron enjoys spending time with his family and golfing.
